21 diciembre POLANDI write write this post at my grandmas house in Lubartow, (near Lublin if anyone is bored with an atlas) its about -3 degress outside and all is well. :) We were at my other grandmas house in Kielce for over 2 weeks and nearly killed ourselves with boredom. Although we did see Harry Potter 4 and Must love dogs. Sorry to say but the second was better. The only reprive from watching club tv (a 'hip' cable show where there was polish dubbing over english) was the two times we went out with my dads friends daughter, Agnezika (shes the one in the photos with the pool sticks.. cant remeber what they are called). We just recently got out of Kielce and nearly almost immediately headed for Wiesokie, where many adventures awaited us. Wiesokie is a little town where alot of our family is, and our beloved cousins, Weronika, Monika and Dominika. They were having a little celebratory dinner for their school, and when we came in, all attention was on us, 'the cousins from Australia' and everyone formed a line to shake our hand, it was really funny, especially when the guys decided to go all in one group. We met alot of people there, the girls, the boys... who also wouldnt stop taking photos of Basia :P. The next day, after staying up and watching Eurotrip, "Scotty doesnt know...!!" we went to their school where the only class we were eventually allowed into was English, (You shouldnt feed your dog :P), the teachers for German and Maths wouldnt let us in their class :P Afterwards we went home and waited for the boys, who eventually came and we had a few interesting conversations with them, so they could practise their english. Then.. we went outside, into the snow, attacked each other with snowballs, or got pushed into the snow by the boys, both of which happened to us, or like basia just lied back and made snow angels. Unfortunately i dont have the photos from that at the moment! But they are coming. The next day we got up and went to my aunties business, shes a hairdresser and she did our hair, shes so awesome ^.^ My grandma was at our other family also in Wiesokiego, helping one of my Uncles make sausages and meat from freshly killed animals. I declined an invitation to watch... Then we went back to Lubartow, and here we are, although we are going back to Wiesokie on the 25th. (remember people that polish people celebrate xmas on the 24th). So we had lots of fun in the last few days, and not much sleep. We've had close encounters with snow (many actually) and lots of nice food. Speaking of which, the food here is incredible. Its all so fresh and yummy, i am going to come back so fat.. but its soooo good ^.^
I miss you all lots (even if it doesnt sound like it... i do!!!)) Anyway, have fun peoples! Love, Ania |
